Privacy Policy

Matchday Manager is a mobile app for managing soccer teams, operated by Rutschmania, LLC ("we", "our", or "us"), which is the controller of the personal data described below. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

We are committed to handling your data honestly. We do not run ads. We do not sell your data. We collect only what the app needs to function.

1. Information we collect

Account data. When you create an account, we collect your email address. We use it to sign you in via a one-time code, send you transactional notifications, and identify your account.

Profile data. Your display name and optional profile photo, which you provide during onboarding.

Team and roster data. Teams you create or join, including team names, join codes, player names, jersey numbers, and parent/guardian associations. This data is visible to members of the same team.

Schedule and event data. Games, practices, and other events you create, including dates, times, locations, and RSVP responses from team members.

Schedule import content (optional). If you use the Premier schedule import feature, the text you paste or the photo you upload is sent to OpenAI so that games and results can be extracted into editable rows. You choose what to submit, and you review everything before it is saved. We do not retain the submitted text or image after parsing — we store only a counter recording that the feature was used, to enforce rate limits.

Assisted team setup content (optional). If you choose "Set up with AI" when creating a team, the roster or schedule text you paste or the photo you upload is sent to OpenAI so that team, player, and fixture details can be extracted into an editable preview. You confirm you are authorised to submit the material, and you review and edit everything before the team is created. We do not retain the submitted text or image after processing.

Match data. Live match events you record (goals, assists, cards, substitutions, etc.) and the match timeline.

Chat messages. Messages sent in team channels and direct messages. These are stored on our servers and visible to their intended recipients.

Device and notification tokens. If you allow push notifications, we store a device token to deliver notifications. You can revoke this permission in iOS Settings at any time.

Usage data. Basic error and crash logs (via the Supabase infrastructure) to help us diagnose and fix bugs. We do not use analytics tools that track behaviour for advertising.

2. How we use your information

• To operate the app and deliver its features (match tracking, scheduling, chat, notifications).
• To send transactional notifications: kickoff reminders, schedule changes, roster approvals, and chat messages. You can manage these in the app or by emailing us.
• To maintain the security and reliability of the service.
• To extract games and results from a schedule you choose to import.
• To extract team, roster, and schedule details when you choose assisted team setup.
• To process Matchday Premier subscriptions and confirm what your account is entitled to.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app.

3. How we store your data

All data is stored in Supabase, a hosted Postgres database platform with infrastructure on AWS. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Row-level security rules mean users can only access data for teams they belong to.

Supabase's data processing agreement is available at supabase.com/legal/dpa.

4. Data sharing

We share your data only in the following circumstances:

• With teammates. Profile name, photo, and team-related activity are visible to members of teams you have joined.
• With service providers. Supabase (database and authentication), Resend (transactional email), Expo / Apple Push Notification Service (push delivery), RevenueCat (subscription purchases and entitlements), and OpenAI (schedule import and assisted team setup only, as described in section 1). These providers process data only as instructed by us.
• If required by law. We may disclose data if required by a court order or other legal process.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party.

5. Children's privacy

Matchday Manager is designed for coaches and parents to manage youth sports teams. Coaches may enter player names and jersey numbers as roster data, but players themselves do not create accounts. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under 13. If you believe a child's data has been entered without appropriate authorisation, please contact us.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your account and associated data.
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Object to any processing we haven't disclosed here.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@matchdaymanager.app. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it longer by law.

8. Push notifications and email

We send push notifications and emails to keep your team coordinated (reminders, changes, approvals). You can unsubscribe from email categories using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting us. Push notification permissions can be managed in iOS Settings → Matchday Manager → Notifications.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
